Transfusion is a Medical skill that damages mobs at range while healing nearby ponies for a portion of the damage dealt. The damage dealt is a small percentage of the mob's current health, and can be multiplied by the number of nearby players and pets. This means that while Transfusion can deal heavy initial damage to bosses with high health, it is practically useless against common, low-health mobs.


Note that Transfusion is an Angering skill, and players using the ability against bosses can raise their tension significantly. This will result in the boss mob attacking the player with much higher damage. Experienced players tend to take the risk, using Transfusion as their opening move, and soothing the boss with other abilities thereafter.


Transfusion has a damage cap of 2000. Each nearby player or pet raises the damage cap by 2000, up to the limit from Expanded Transfusion upgrades. The damage dealt is not affected by the player's Medical level, or equipment stat bonuses.


This skill is automatically granted to players that specialize in the Medical Talent. Otherwise, it requires 500 Training Points (TP) to learn.

Upgrades

Expanded Transfusion

Expanded Transfusion upgrades increase the number of nearby players who will be healed by a successful cast of Transfusion, while also increasing the proportion of the damage dealt which is converted into healing. The upgrades also trivially lower the energy cost of casting the skill (does not stack with Mass Transfusion)

By taking more players into account, these upgrades have the proxy effect of also increasing the damage cap of Transfusion — the penultimate upgrade allows the skill to deal up to 8000 damage.

Enhanced Transfusion

Enhanced Transfusion increases the percentage of the mob's current health to which damage is dealt.

3 20 20 Damage dealt increased to 8% of the mob's current health.
4 30 35 Damage dealt increased to 10% of the mob's current health.
5 40 50 Damage dealt increased to 12% of the mob's current health.

Mass Transfusion

Mass Transfusion increases the number of mobs affected by Transfusion. The closest mobs to the primary target, within skill range of the player (20 m), will also take damage with diminishing effect. These upgrades also trivially reduce the energy required to cast Transfusion (does not stack with Expanded Transfusion).
