Knead for Speed
Knead for Speed is a quest obtained from Chef Linguine in Ponydale. It is an easy mission that does not involve combat.
Quest initiation
Chef Linguine is a light brown stallion, with a dark grey mane and tail, light brown eyes and a chef's hat talent mark. He can be found outside the Clover Café in Ponydale, which is located south of the Gem Mine on a hill.
Linguine is in a hurry to make a large order of bread, but the mischief maker Sawbuck has stolen his flour, hence the player must find Sawbuck and get it back.
Journal: Linguine, a chef in Ponydale, says he is missing some flour, but he suspects Sawbuck made off with it. I agreed to confront the thief. Sawbuck should be somewhere along the river.
Confronting Sawbuck
When Sawbuck is confronted, she runs off towards the Town Hall, and must be chased to a nearby tree past the fountain.
Journal: Sawbuck has made a half-hearted attempt to run. I should be able to easily catch him.
- Catch Sawbuck.
When Sawbuck is confronted again, she will relinquish the pilfered flour with a promise of more mischief in the future.
Journal: Sawbuck surrendered the flour. I should return to Chef Linguine immediately.
- Return to Chef Linguine.
Quest completion
A grateful Linguine will reward the player with Linguine's Mini Loaves and 250 XP in all talents.
Journal: I returned the missing flour, and Chef Linguine thanked me for my efforts.

Trivia
- The quest journal refers to Sawbuck as a 'him' rather than 'her'.
- Prior to Open Server Event 6, Sawbuck was originally a male and was named Buck. However, as the quest was introduced much later, this error could either be just a simple oversight or that the quest was already being developed previously.
- The quest name 'Knead for Speed' is a play on words for Need for Speed
