Diamonds are one of the many kinds of gems that exist. Earth ponies and pegasi cannot make use of this item as a resource without assistance from a unicorn.
Diamonds are mainly useful for making diamond dust, which is needed to craft teleportation crystals.
Obtaining
Loot from Mobs
Players who manage to take down a high level Dragon may receive diamonds as part of their reward. Dalmatian Diamond Dogs may also drop a diamond upon being defeated.
Mining
Diamonds and all other gems can rarely be found when mining.
