Cloud Race
Cloud Race is an Pegasus-exclusive quest, starring Thunder Boost, a colt with a typical bully and selfish personality.
Quest initiation
The quest can be started by speaking to Thunder Boost in the area of Cloudopolis Academy, across the runway. Upon speaking to him, the player is greeted with a rude and boasting dialogue.
He claims that he finished the cloud ring track without being afraid of heights. The reason as to why he's calling the player a loser is because apparently he believes they can't beat his best time at a time trial of flying through all the rings in quick of a time as possible.
The player is then given an option to take up the challenge or opt for a practice session before challenging him.
Practice session
If the player opts for a practice session, the player is given the chance to fly through the cloud ring course as many times as they want. When the player is ready to take up the challenge, speak to Thunder Boost again.
Journal: I've gotta get practice so I can beat that rude pony...
- Take off and go.
Upon reaching the start point:
Journal:
- Pass through ring 1.
- Pass through ring 2.
- Pass through ring 3.
- Pass through ring 4.
- Loop back around.
Upon accepting the challenge:
Journal: A really rude pony, Thunder Boost, challenged me to beat his time on the cloud ring course. I have to go through all the rings and land my hooves on the cloud with the flags on it. Let's teach him a lesson.
- Take off and go!
Accepting the challenge
After accepting the challenge, the player has to fly through the cloud ring course twice and land. After completing the challenge, return to Thunder Boost.
It does not matter how long it takes to finish the course, as it still counts as beating his time.
Upon reaching the start point:
Journal:
- Pass through ring 1!
- Pass through ring 2!
- Pass through ring 3!
- Pass through ring 4!
- Loop back around!
- Pass through ring 1!
- Pass through ring 2!
- Pass through ring 3!
- Pass through ring 4!
- Land back down!
After landing:
Journal: I beat Thunder Boost! I better let him know.
- I beat the time! I better tell Thunder Boost.
Quest completion
Thunder Boost is surprised that the player managed to beat the time he set. He rewards the player with 5 bits and a Red Apple, before mentioning to them to mark his words that he will beat their score. The player also gains 25 XP in all talents for completing the quest.
Journal: Just another day of showing a rude pony who's boss.
