A Book Too Far
A Book Too Far is a quest given by Marshmallow Cream in Crystal Kingdom. Marshmallow Cream laments about how ponies come to her for errands, thinking that she has some chore for them to do. She rejects help from the player at first, but if the player insists on helping, she will give the player an errand to complete, thereby initiating the quest.
A package to deliver
Marshmallow Cream explains to the player that she volunteers at the postal service, and that she just received a package that she is unable to pick up. She tasks the player to drop the package, which is a heavy book addressed to Gypsum, off at the Crystal Library. She also tells the player to go away and not ask her for more jobs. After ending the conversation, The Life Cycles of Growing Grass is added to the player's inventory for the delivery.
Journal: Find Gypsum and deliver this very heavy book to her.

Delivering the package
Upon delivering the book to Gypsum, she gets quite excited about receiving it, and tells the player how the book could help with her garden.
Journal: Better get back to Marshmallow and let her know the job is done.
- Go tell Marshmallow Cream that you got the job done.
Making a friend
After the delivery, return to Marshmallow Cream to update her on the errand completed. She will request the player to stay for a few more minutes as she wants to make jokes about the player. As the conversation goes on, it is revealed that she actually has a problem making friends, but even such, the player did not leave her alone and still did a job for her even though she was being terrible, and she asks the player to not leave her as the player is the first pony that had talked to her in weeks. She asks the player advice on making friends, and the player also offers to be her first friend, making her very happy. She then gives the player 2 matching pairs of socks and the player will gain 800 XP.
Alternatively, the player can choose to not go through her story. In this scenario, the player still gets the socks, but will only gain 500 XP.
Journal: Gypsum has her book and Marshmallow Cream has a new friend. Good deeds done!
